The archive of Antoinette de Bach-van Loon, who held spiritual séances over forty years, has been the starting point of a visual research about the human inclination towards the supernatural realm.

As part of her solo exhibition at the Museum van Loon in Amsterdam, Laurence Aëgerter organized a spiritual séance in the museum, recorded on video; an homage to Antoinette’s natural understanding of the spirit world and in fact a re-enactment of happenings from the past.
